About The Island Golf League
WHO WE ARE
The Vancouver Island Golf League (VIGL) is a recreational golf league designed to connect golfers across Vancouver Island through friendly competition and community engagement. The league offers a structured but social environment where players can enjoy the game while building relationships with fellow golfers and local businesses.
VIGL was created to make organized golf more accessible and enjoyable. By combining weekly matches with networking opportunities and seasonal events, the league provides an experience that goes beyond the course.
Whether you're a competitive golfer or simply looking for a fun way to stay active and meet new people, VIGL welcomes players of all skill levels.
The League is planned to being MAY 2027.
How the VIGL Works
The Vancouver Island Golf League is designed to make participation simple and enjoyable. Players compete in weekly matches while earning points toward league standings and the season championship.
Structure
Weekly Matches
Players compete in scheduled 9-hole matches at participating courses across Vancouver Island.
Team Competition
Teams earn points throughout the season based on match results, creating competitive standings leading up to the playoffs.
All Skill Levels Welcome
The league is designed for golfers of all abilities, from experienced players to those newer to the game.
Championship Week
The top teams compete in a playoff-style championship to determine the league champions.
